This is Jin Ge, the melancholy and damaged webmaster.I'm a MA student of Public Communications in Fordham University. Although I am a ruthless iconclast, Adorno is my icon.
But I didn't realize why Adorno used the word Melancholy Science until I seriously tried to wrote a paper on him and in his way: it does make you melancholy. I kept getting lost in his awesome movement of consciousness and no piece of his thought can be understood without awaring of his whole dynamic and complex intellectual force field.
My paper turned out to be an ambitious failure. But I hope the resources I collected can help other students who also unfortunately like Adorno, and I think I will be more close to success if I have a study group. This is impetus behind this website.
